Vienna Homeowner Battles Old Moldy Bathroom
Mold is a problem that many older models home have, especially when the property isn’t properly kept up. This was the case with one client who recently purchased a home in Vienna that hadn’t been occupied for quite some time. The house was a steal, but the work needed was a bit overwhelming. Thankfully, the married couple found us.
One of the most problematic areas of the home was the guest bathroom. It was large and spacious, but the floors and walls were contaminated with grime and mold growth. Our inspectors pulled up some of the floor to see how damaged the foundation was beneath. It would need replacing to prevent health and structural problems.
We connected the couple with a mold remediation company, then once they completed the job, we got to work on gutting out the bathroom and upgrading it with our luxury package, which included a 60-inch cabinet, tile floors, frameless glass shower, toilet, vanity, sink, faucets, bath light, roman tub and shower fixtures, mirror and paint. Our unbeatable price also covered the demolition and the installation of everything.
Satisfied Customers Are Our Specialty
David and Marie were really pleased with the outcome of their new bathroom remodel. When they saw the completed project, they were astonished. They said they no longer recognized the restroom, which was a great thing, given the prior state it was in.
With the back age they chose, they could choose from 20 different tile colors for the flooring. They decided to go with an off-white tint, which contrasted the dark Soapstone granite they chose for the counters and shower wall. The fixtures and vanity also gave the bathroom a tasteful appearance. The completed project gave the bathroom real style and the clients loved it.
Completing the Bathroom Remodel
The first step after having the bathroom cleansed of mold was to lay down the new flooring. We supplied them with new subflooring so there would be a sound foundation beneath. The marble floors were then laid down. Next was the shower wall, which had granite tiles that matched the sink counters.
After the floors were done and the walls were painted, we went ahead and installed the vanity and counters, along with all the other fixtures, including the frameless glass shower and roman bathtub. The entire process took about two weeks to complete, since there were no problems along the way. It was the only bathroom in the home, so the couple decided to take a vacation during the remodel. Once they returned, they were very happy with the new look.
