Family in Manassas Has Bathroom and Kitchen Remodeled with Natural Stones
Manassas can be found in the Commonwealth of Virginia. It is an independent city with a population of over 37,800 people as of 2010. Manassas can be found along the border of Prince William County, which is the independent city of Fairfax County and Manassas Park. The city is part of the metro statistical area of Washington-Arlington-Alexandria, DC-VA-MD-WV.
There’s plenty of history here in Manassas that dates back several centuries. For instance, the First Battle of Manassas took place during the summer of 1861. This is also referred to as the First Battle of Bull Run. You can say that it’s the biggest land battle from the Civil War period. The year 2011, was the celebration of the 150th anniversary of this battle.
Then there was another battle – the Second Battle of Manassas. This was in the late summer of 1862. At this time, the city was nothing more than a railroad crossing. It was a strategic location that lead all the way to Washington D.C., the Shenandoah Valley and Richmond, Virginia.
After the war, the town was incorporated in 1873. Later in 1892, it became the county seat of Prince William County, which used to be Brentsville. It wasn’t until 1975 when Manassas was incorporated as a city. Then it was no longer a part of Prince William County.

Couple Remodels Kitchen and Bathroom with Granite
Fairfax Kitchen and Bath was contacted by a couple in Manassas that needed remodeling work for their two-story home. There was one large kitchen and two and a half bathrooms. The professionals at Fairfax Kitchen and Bath came to the property to take measurements of the cabinets, counters, floors, vanity and sinks. This would be used to fabricate the granite stone they requested for installation, as well as for replacing the cabinets and vanities. The floors were also to be redone with tile. At Fairfax Kitchen and Bath, we have a selection of sinks, cabinets, stone slabs and tile that our customers can use.
The Couple was Very Satisfied with Our Work
After we completed the project, the couple was ecstatic with the outcome. They were very pleased they decided to go with our company, given the great rates we offered. We always look to be competitively priced. Plus, our products are top-of-the-line, so you can’t beat that!
Completing the Project for the Couple
The contractors at Fairfax Kitchen and Bath brought the stone slabs and cabinets they fabricated for the customer’s home. We always do the cutting of our products, so there’s an exact fit. Once we arrived, we began with the kitchen, removing all the wooden cabinets. They were antique, being refinished countless times. The structural integrity was giving way, so it was time to have them done away with.
After removing the cabinets and counters, we installed the new counters the customer purchased from our line of products. The granite stone was sand colored to match the tan colored tile backsplash the kitchen had. The dark hardwood floors contrasted the light colors nicely.
Next, we went to the three bathrooms. We started with the master bathroom, removing the two vanities and the tile flooring. The granite stone selected for the master bathroom was a dark gray. The customer purchased a total of four vanities from our shop, to be installed in the three bathrooms. The sinks were also updated in each bathroom.
The other two bathrooms had matching black granite stone slabs with white veins and specks. The tile floors in the master bathroom were a light blue and the other two bathrooms had light gray tile. The entire project took us four days to complete. There were no mishaps to slow down the process.
